Greater support for people affected by the suicide of a loved one

During Health and Social Care Questions today, I welcomed the recent announcement of greater support for people affected by the suicide of a loved one, and asked the Minister for Suicide Prevention about what form additional support actually take.

Countering terrorist content online

Today in the House of Commons, I welcomed confirmation of additional funding for counter-terrorism in the spending review and asked the Minister for Security, Brandon Lewis MP, what steps he is taking to counter terrorist content online.

Launch of the Poppy Appeal at Bristol Parkway Station

Today I attended the launch of the Stoke Gifford Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal at Bristol Parkway Station.

Thank you to all the volunteers, Cadets, Scouts and GWR for making the event happen.

It was a huge honour to meet Ron Stevens, a D-Day Veteran.

Electric Vehicles (EV) & Hybrids - the need for more charging points

Visited Enterprise Bristol North to learn more about their Car Club & hybrid vehicles available.

Concerns exist re access to enough charging points for Electric Vehicles (EV) & hybrids. I will raise with ministers the need to develop the necessary infrastructure for this.
