Meeting at MOD Defence Equipment and Support Abbeywood

It was great to meet with Andy Start and Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, Chief of the Defence Staff at MOD Defence Equipment and Support at Abbeywood.

Supporting Innovation and Manufacturing at the National Composites Centre

I visited the National Composites Centre in Emersons Green, it is a world-leading facility which provides end-to-end engineering support for companies such as GKN, Rolls Royce, Airbus and Leonardo as well as small and medium size businesses such as LINEAT who are engaging in cutting-edge research

Promoting Local Aerospace Innovation at Aeralis

Dropped into Aeralis in Aztec West to catch up on progress with their modular jet which could replace the Hawk T2 as the trainer aircraft for the RAF.

At GKN supporting our local technology industry

I Visited GKN Global Technology Centre in Filton supporting technological innovation and sustainable development. We discussed STEM engagement with local schools and colleges and their apprenticeships program, which will help inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.

Supporting Apprenticeships with Airbus Helicopters

Pleased to have welcomed and hosted Airbus Helicopters to the House of Commons today. I met some fantastic apprentices, especially Bradley Morgan who made an inspirational speech.

Supporting MOD Defence Equipment and Support at Prime Minister's Questions

I was delighted to be able to ask the Prime Minister to join me in paying tribute to everyone who works at MOD Defence Equipment and Support and all they do to help arm the Ukrainians.

Discussing Defence Procurement with Minister

An interesting meeting with the Minister for Defence Procurement, Alex Chalk MP, where we discussed DE&S in my constituency and the ongoing support for the Ukrainians.

Promoting Local Aerospace Heritage

It was interesting to meet the new CEO of Aerospace Bristol, Sally Cordwell, who leads a fantastic local attraction which demonstrates the great aerospace heritage in our area. It also has a STEM learning centre, which will help to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
