Visited Enterprise Bristol North to learn more about their Car Club & hybrid vehicles available.

Concerns exist re access to enough charging points for Electric Vehicles (EV) & hybrids. I will raise with ministers the need to develop the necessary infrastructure for this.

National Colleges Week at SGS College Filton

Met with students at SGS College Filton today for 'National Colleges Week'.


The college is expanding the range of courses and #skills on offer. I met with students learning about construction, domestic science and Theatrical and Media Make-up.

Exceptional Services Award for long service

I was honoured to be asked by The Berkeley Leisure Group to present an award to one of their managers.

Edward O'Sullivan was given the Exceptional Services Award for his longstanding years of loyal service managing and maintaining Woodlands Park to the highest standard.

End persecution of NI Veterans

Yesterday I met with Ben Wallace MP to raise my concerns that legislation to stop the persecution of NI Veterans was omitted in the Queen's Speech.

He assured me that it was the Government's intention to bring forward legislation in due course.

We need action on this.

Call for a debate on the proposed M4 Junction 18A

Today I asked the Leader of the House of Commons for a debate on local transport infrastructure provision, especially the proposed new M4 J18A, which if built would unlock a great potential opportunity for new homes & jobs.

The benefits of Free Ports to local communities

Free Ports can hugely benefit the economy of our region.
