Chinooks saving lives of our troops

During a debate on UK defence rotary strategy, I highlighted the lives Chinooks saved in their role as Medical Emergency Response Teams supporting our troops on operations. 

I congratulated Boeing and the Royal Air Force for ensuring this aircraft has been kept flying for 40 yrs.

Supporting the Kurdistan region of Iraq with UK funds

During the Department for International Development questions today, I asked the Minister about issues with UK funding to the Kurdistan region of Iraq to help cope with the significant influx of Syrian Refugees.

A visit to Blind Veterans charity in Bradley Stoke

Visited the Blind Veterans office in Bradley Stoke today to meet local volunteers and fieldworkers.

The charity cares for military veterans with sight loss, whether or not they sustained the loss of sight through their service to our nation.

Frenchay C of E School visit

Thank you to the pupils and staff of Frenchay C of E Primary School for hosting me again for a visit. A really warm welcome from lots of energetic students. I enjoyed catching up, answering pupils' questions, and hearing exciting plans for the future.

Standing up for our ex forces personnel

Today in the House of Commons, I asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland to assure the House that the Government's repeated commitment to end the witch hunt of our ex forces personnel and the vexatious prosecutions will not be sacrificed on the altar of political expediency.
