I recently met with David Pile and Peter Hardisty of Rheinmetall at their Bradley Stoke offices to discuss the company’s projects in the UK and their plans for the future. Rheinmetall currently employ 23,044 personnel worldwide and operate from 3 sites in the UK, working on a range of contracts in the defence and automotive world.
Locally, the Rheinmetall team act as the company’s main UK Hub working on the Challenger 2 tank upgrade as well as providing a base for the support truck fleet support. On a national scale, the company is a key stakeholder in our national defence, providing support to our radar system and supplying ammunition to the Ministry of Defence.
With a strong sales book and a healthy order backlog, it was good to hear that the company have already began exploring plans to enhance their UK presence and bring more jobs to their Bradley Stoke base.
