Jack to Run Half Marathons for CLIC Sargent

Over the next month, Jack will be fundraising for the teenage cancer charity CLIC Sargent, as he sets out to run the Severn Bridge Half Marathon on the August bank holiday weekend and the Great Bristol Half Marathon in September.

Letter to Cllr. Hunt RE Winterbourne Bypass

Earlier this week I sent a letter to Councillor Colin Hunt, Executive Member for Planning Transport and Strategic Environment at South Gloucestershire Council, asking him to start an application for central government funding to build a Winterbourne bypass.

Jack Welcomes Three Schools to Parliament

Jack always enjoys welcoming constituents to Westminster and being able to show them a bit more about the work he does in Parliament, so he was pleased to hear that the Parliament Education Service was hosting three schools from Filton and Bradley Stoke last Tuesday.

Over the weekend Jack was at the Frenchay Flower Show helping to give out prizes along with West of England Mayor Tim Bowles. This year was the 74th show and the event is now a firm tradition amongst the local community.

Jack Celebrates Morph's 40th Birthday

On Thursday evening, Jack attended an event at Cribbs Causeway to celebrate Morph's 40th birthday and raise money for Bristol Children's Hospital.

Patchway Festival

Jack’s Saturday ended in Patchway at the Patchway Community Fair. There was a great buzz of activity as children enjoyed the fairground rides and families enjoyed music from bands on stage.

Severn Beach Festival

On Saturday afternoon Jack popped across to Severn Beach for the first Severn Beach Festival.

Jack attends Memorial Benches Dedication Ceremony

Jack attended a moving dedication ceremony in Patchway for two benches, one commemorating the First World War and another commemorating the Second World War. They were placed in Scott Park next to the memorial cross, which was recently transferred from Rodway Road

Jack attends Baileys Court Primary School Summer Fair

On Saturday morning, Jack visited Baileys Court Primary School in Bradley Stoke for their Summer Fair. There were many great activities for families and a great selection of stalls run by local independent businesses.
