Jack recently joined local residents in celebrating the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support to help support the fantastic work that the charity does with patients during treatment. As a cancer survivor, Jack was grateful for all that Macmillan does to help patients and families and he is happy to support their work in any way he can.
On the Friday Jack attended a coffee morning at Olive Tree Court in Charlton Hayes and had the opportunity to talk to residents about local issues over a slice of cake. It was great to see that the Bradley Stoke branch of estate agents C J Hole were hosting the Macmillan coffee morning and engaging with the community in the care home.
The next day Jack attended a coffee morning in Almondsbury which was hosted by Jane Clark who generously opened up her home to local residents. Whilst the total raised for this year is still being calculated, Jane has been hosting coffee morning for the last sixteen years and raised an amazing £1100 last year for this fantastic cause. Jack said, "We are incredibly lucky to have such amazing volunteers within our community, who put in a lot of time and effort for an array of causes."
