At the start of September, Jack joined members of Frenchay Residents’ Association to celebrate that their village pond, Becks Pool, had been brought back into local ownership after a generous loan from two donors. Their campaign now focusses on raising £30,000 to repay the loan and fund works to secure the long term future of the pond.
Being at the heart of Frenchay for over 200 years, the pond has been secured for future generations as a community asset for the people of Frenchay attracting a lot of wildlife including ducks, moorhen, heron, newts, frogs and toads.
